Welcome to my accessibility journey!

This week (May 31st- June 6th) is National Accessibility Week in Canada. It is important to stop and evaluate: are you being inclusive and accessible? Can everyone attend your event without barriers? These considerations need to be taken not only this week, but year round. I am so happy my birthday (June 3rd) falls on this week., it makes it an extra special time for me. I get to bundle my special day with a cause very near and dear to my heart. It is a reminder to everyone to just slow down and think about others and what accommodations they may require to participate. . Happy celebrating! Comment with how you recognize National Accessibility Week and what vyou are doing to make a difference. No act is too small! Keep rolling!

I’m Sarah!

Welcome to Rolling with Sarah! I am a 26-year-old wheelchair user from Merrickville, Ontario. Throughout my life, I have encountered both amazing accessibility and impossible to believe barriers On this site, I will document my journey as a person with a disability. My highs, my lows, and everything in between. I will recognize accessibility efforts by others, as well as what I am doing to improve accessibility myself. Roll along with me!
