Welcome to my accessibility journey!

On December 3rd we celebrated International Day of Persons With Disabilities. I was honoured to be a part of a panel at CHEO (Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario) along with several other amazing advocates. We had a great discussion on what these commemorative days mean to us and leadership in accessibility. Lots of valuable insights. Check out the video below for the full recording of the panel. A special shoutout to an advocate I like to consider a friend, Ollie Acosta-Pickering, who is a 13 year old cancer survivor who lost his vision due to treatment. He is an inspiration and I can tell he is going places.

I’m Sarah!

Welcome to Rolling with Sarah! I am a 26-year-old wheelchair user from Merrickville, Ontario. Throughout my life, I have encountered both amazing accessibility and impossible to believe barriers On this site, I will document my journey as a person with a disability. My highs, my lows, and everything in between. I will recognize accessibility efforts by others, as well as what I am doing to improve accessibility myself. Roll along with me!
