Welcome to my accessibility journey!

Always looking for a nice place to grab lunch. A great option is C’est Tout Bakery and Bistro in Smiths Falls Ontario. It is on the main drag, where the sidewalks have nice curb cuts due to recent construction work.  At the side of the building there is a lovely ramp. The slope is nice and gentle and leads to a door with a working actuator (wheelchair button). Once inside, there is a clear path to tables with removable chairs. We had lunch, and it was delicious! They had something for everyone, including vegetarian options for my Mom. Even the bathroom had actuators and wide stalls for wheelchairs. The staff was friendly and dedicated to making their establishment as accessible as possible. They graciously took the few pointers I gave them, like lowering the paper towel holder. I would definitely go back and recommend this bakery to other wheelchair users. Thumbs up!

I’m Sarah!

Welcome to Rolling with Sarah! I am a 26-year-old wheelchair user from Merrickville, Ontario. Throughout my life, I have encountered both amazing accessibility and impossible to believe barriers On this site, I will document my journey as a person with a disability. My highs, my lows, and everything in between. I will recognize accessibility efforts by others, as well as what I am doing to improve accessibility myself. Roll along with me!
