Welcome to my accessibility journey!

Celebrated my birthday today with a lovely day with my Mom. And what better way to celebrate than to indulge my sweet tooth? We rolled over the bridge in Merrickville to Merrickville Cookies. They had a beautiful ramp going in. There was no actuator on the door, but it was very light and easy to open. Once inside, there were cookies everywhere! So many different flavours! Some were practically the size of my head! (Super delicious too by the way). We had a nice chat with Dennis, who welcomed us into the store. There was plenty of room to roll around the shop. It was so nice to be able to go into a local store. We will definitely be repeat customers for the sweets and the service.

I’m Sarah!

Welcome to Rolling with Sarah! I am a 26-year-old wheelchair user from Merrickville, Ontario. Throughout my life, I have encountered both amazing accessibility and impossible to believe barriers On this site, I will document my journey as a person with a disability. My highs, my lows, and everything in between. I will recognize accessibility efforts by others, as well as what I am doing to improve accessibility myself. Roll along with me!
