Welcome to my accessibility journey!

Bridgeview Restaurant in lovely Prescott, ON

Accessible, (and delicious) restaurant alert! I’m always game for going out to dinner as a treat, but unfortunately not all restaurants are accessible enough for me to eat there. Often we just have to make do. This was not the case at the Bridgeview Restaurant in Johnstown. Going in to the restaurant they have a nice, gentle incline ramp and actuators on the doors. There is a large room with tables spaced far apart with removable chairs and plenty of room to turn and get situated. There is even an actuator on the washroom door. I wish there were more restaurants making these accommodations for their disabled clientele. The food was good too. All in all, a nice place to bring a family when a member has a mobility disability. Two thumbs up Bridgeview!

I’m Sarah!

Welcome to Rolling with Sarah! I am a 26-year-old wheelchair user from Merrickville, Ontario. Throughout my life, I have encountered both amazing accessibility and impossible to believe barriers On this site, I will document my journey as a person with a disability. My highs, my lows, and everything in between. I will recognize accessibility efforts by others, as well as what I am doing to improve accessibility myself. Roll along with me!
